In this chapter Paul recalls his ministry at Thessalonica. He had been maltreated at Philippi, but his suffering did not deter him from moving on to Thessalonica and declaring the gospel there. His willingness to suffer in order to share the gospel showed he wasn't motivated by money or self-glory.
Sunday Morning Service - This is the oldest psalm in The Psalms, and it was written by Moses, the man of God (Josh. 14:6; Ezra 3:2). It deals with themes that began with the fall of our first parents and will continue to be important and puzzling until the return of our Savior: eternal God and frail humans, a holy God and sinful man, life and death, and the meaning of life in a confused and difficult world. It’s possible that Moses wrote this psalm after Israel’s failure of faith at Kadesh Barnea (Num. 13—14), when the nation was condemned to journey in the wilderness for forty years until the older generation died.
The quotation in John 6:31 is from Psalm 78:24, a psalm that records the unbelief and rebellion of the nation of Israel. In His reply, our Lord sought to deepen the people’s understanding of the truth. It was God, not Moses, who gave the manna; so they must take their eyes off Moses and focus them on God. Also, God gave the manna in the past, but the Father is now giving the true bread in the person of Jesus Christ. The past event is finished, but the present spiritual experience goes on! First Timothy 4 is a significant chapter in the New Testament, offering guidance and warnings to Timothy, a young leader in the early Christian church. Here's a brief commentary.

The First Letter to Timothy is primarily about leadership in the early church: it exhorts its readers to resist false teaching, hold on to the faith as delivered, exhibit good conduct, and order the church in such a way that all of this can be accomplished.
Christ's preaching was mostly practical; but, in this chapter, we have a prophetical discourse, a prediction of things to come; such however as had a practical tendency, and was intended, not to gratify the curiosity of his disciples, but to guide their consciences and conversations, and it is therefore concluded with a practical application

According to 1 Timothy 1: 12-19, the author expresses gratitude to Christ Jesus for enabling him and putting him into the ministry.
Of course, some think Paul didn’t write 1 Timothy and so conclude this statement doesn’t carry apostolic weight. Others find a contradiction with Galatians 3:28 (“there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus”) and declare a person’s gender to be irrelevant for how he or she serves in the church.
But suppose a godly woman in a complementarian church (i.e., a church that ordains only qualified men as pastors) looks at 1 Timothy 2:12 and wonders, What does it mean that I’m not permitted “to teach or to exercise authority over a man”? What ought she conclude and why? It’s a good question to ask in a context where “women who profess godliness” (v. 10) are called on to learn (v. 11). This implies putting into practice what Scripture teaches.

So Peter writes that we should stay alert, "preparing your minds for action." We must take control of where our thoughts go, and what our minds dwell on. If we do not fully engage in intentional hope-setting, we will be easily distracted by the false hope of satisfaction the world continually offers us.
Even to the very poor, Jesus says not to worry about food or clothes. God feeds the birds and clothes the lilies beautifully, and His children are far more valuable than birds. Anxious emotions can't add even an hour to a person's life. Instead, Jesus tells His followers to trust God to provide what they truly need.

“This, then, is how you should pray: “ 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Jeremiah did not choose to be a prophet, God chose Jeremiah. God had placed such a burden for the people on Jeremiah, that he was compelled to prophesy. God touched his mouth and put His words in Jeremiah's mouth. The message then was God's message, spoken through Jeremiah.

God has prepared eternal bodies for all who are in Christ and has given to them the Holy Spirit as a guarantee of what we will receive when this life is done (2 Corinthians 5:1–5). Paul acknowledges that he is ready to be at home with the Lord, right now, free of his earthly body. He is not suicidal.

Sanctification literally means "to set apart for special use or purpose", that is, to make holy or sacred. Therefore, sanctification refers to the state or process of being set apart, i.e. "made holy", as a vessel, full of the Holy Spirit of God.
The apostle, in this chapter, applies what he has collected in the chapter foregoing, and makes use of it as a great motive to patience and perseverance in the Christian faith and state, pressing home the argument.

The rider of the second horse is often taken to represent War (he is often pictured holding a sword upwards as though ready for battle) or mass slaughter. His horse's color is red (πυρρός, pyrrhos from πῦρ, fire), and in some translations, the color is specifically a "fiery" red.

Now we are in middle of the last 7 year period just before Jesus Christ 2nd coming. In this chapter Jesus is introducing another important character called dragon in His divine plan. This dragon is not just going to appear at that time. He is not a new character but he has already in this world from the time Adam and Eve was created by God.

The prophet foresees God calling and anointing King Cyrus of Persia to be His chosen instrument to subdue nations (namely Babylon) for the sake of His people Israel. Cyrus, who was not yet born at the time of the prophecy, did not know the Lord or even acknowledge His existence, making him an unlikely choice to be God’s anointed. The pick of Cyrus proved all the more that God is sovereign and in control of all things and people. As the only true God and Creator of all life, His authority and decisions cannot truly be challenged:

Deuteronomy 6 is a reminder of who God is, all He has done, and the amazing opportunity we have to respond to Him with love. It's a reminder to tell God's story well, to all people, and especially to children.
